SPRIDLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on 10/3/2026 at 6.30pm in the Village Hall
Present:- Cllr K.Morton (Chairman), Cllr M Marris, Cllr M. Strong, Cllr Burnett.
In attendance: Helen Pitman (Clerk)
Visitors: None.
1. Apologies for absence and reasons given:-. Cllr R. Cowling. Accepted.
2. Co-option of councillor: No interest.
3. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Localism Act:- Cllr Marris declared a personal interest in item 9 invoice for village hall to be paid as dual hatted member.
4. Notes of meeting held on 20th January to be approved as minutes:-
The minutes were signed as a true record.
5. Chair and councils comments:- The chairman asked that, as of today, all use gov.uk email addresses for council business.
6 Clerk’s report on matters outstanding:- The clerk has reported the flooding outside number 1, Church Street, as have a number of others. Highways has responded saying it will take action but nothing to date.
7. Planning matters:- None. There has been no update on Scampton.
8. Correspondence:- Circulated. The chairman gave information regarding items in LALC news and Local Government reorganisation consultation.
9. Financial matters:- Council resolved to pay: H. Pitman £352; K. Morton £191.20 (domain name); Glendale £189.60; LALC £108; Village Hall £140.
10. To discuss & resolve on grass cutting quotation for 2026: Resolved to accept quote from Glendale.
11. To discuss & resolve on clearance of leaves in village:- Cllr Marris had obtained two quotes from local road sweepers. A third to be sought. Defer decision to next meeting. agenda Clerk to contact West Lindsey to ask why their road sweeping machine has not been out despite several requests being made and to also enquire about their rota/timetable.
12. To discuss tenancy agreement for parish land: Resolved existing document is fit for purpose.
13. To discuss dog fouling on public rights of way: Cllr Burnett has researched signage and cost. Council resolved to order 10 signs at a cost of £21.
13. Reports from outside bodies:- Police report circulated.
14. Items of information to be noted and if necessary to be dealt with at the next meeting:-
Road sweeping; Signpost magazine; update on dog fouling on public rights of way. Litterpick arranged for 25th April at 10am.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.50pm.
