•   21 August 2023 – Email from Cllr Morton advising we, as Spridlington PC, will not add anything to the discussion at the moment by sending an edited version of the letter Scampton PC composed to the Home Office.

•   29 August 2023 Email Attachment– Parish Newsletter From WLDC Extract :
-   The Home Office is working on proposals which will see the current Site at RAF Scampton used for accommodation for asylum seekers.
-   The Home Office plan to use a phased approach to moving people on site starting with about 200 people anc increasing to 2000.
-   WLDC is challenging this decision and has been given the go ahead to progress with a full Judicial Review of the decision by the Home Office to use RAF Scampton. The hearing will take place on 31 October and 1 November 2023.
-   However, despite the impending legal process, the Home Office is continuing to press ahead with its plans. As local authorities, partners, we are staleholders in these plans and therefore we have opportunities to raise questions and concerns on the proposals.

•   31 August 2023 – Home Office held an invite only Community event at the Lincolnshire Showground. Spridlington PC was not included in this. For information there is a Frequently Asked Questions page on its website. The fact sheet on the proposed accommodation sites and newsletter can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/asylum-accommodation-factsheets/factsheet-raf-scampton-asylum-accommodation-accessible

•   8 September 2023 – Temporary Stop Notice for RAF Scampton served by WLDC to prevent the Home Office from continuing with development work. The council considers that there has been a breach of planning control relating specifically to the Listed Buildings and archaeology on the site. (Suggest upload to PC Site)
