Minutes of the meeting of Spridlington Parish Council to be held VIRTUALLY ON ZOOM on Thursday 3rd September 2020 at 7.00pm.  – meeting ID 216 046 9124

Present: Councillors Marris (Chair), Kealey, Clough, Smith and O’Brien

1.   Apologies and their reasons for absence were received from PCSO Law and Parish Councillor Grant.

2.   To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2000 Local Government Act. Members may make any declarations at this point, but may also make them at any point during the meeting. Councillors Marris and Kealey declared an interest in item 4 (being members of the Village Hall Committee).

3.   Planning matters to include:

a)   141434 – application for alterations and extensions to dwelling at Fraxini, Faldingworth Road, Spridlington. Members had perused the application documents and agreed unanimously to support the application with no objections.  Clerk to respond online to WLDC.

4.   To discuss and agree the format of future Parish Council meetings in relation to Covid-19. This matter was discussed at length with the reasons for and against holding virtual, face to face or hybrid meetings. The Village Hall had provided a thorough Risk Assessment and guidance document for the members and guidance from LALC had been provided. It was agreed to hold the meetings face to face in the village hall. The members appreciated what the village hall committee had done to ensure that the hall is covid safe and it is important that the hall is funded.

5.   Councillor Clough made known to the meeting that he would like to resign from the Parish Council. The members expressed their sadness at this news and passed on their appreciation for the vast amount of work that Councillor Clough has completed for the Parish over the years.

6.   Date and time of the next meeting – 08.09.20 7.30pm, in the village hall.
