SPRIDLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on 12/9/2023 at the Village Hall
Present:- Cllr M. Marris (Chairman), Cllr D Cox, Cllr R. Cowling.
In attendance: Helen Pitman (Clerk)
Visitors: One.
1. Apologies for absence and reasons given:- Cllr K.Morton.
2. Co-option of councillor: No interest. Jane Witham. who had been co-opted at the previous meeting now wishes to resign.
3. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Localism Act:- None.
4. Notes of meeting held on 11th July to be approved as minutes:-
The minutes were signed as a true record.
5. Chair and councils comments:- Chairman reported that LCC has cleared blocked drains on Faldingworth Road and the street sweeper has attended. Litter picking kits have been delivered by WLDC and a LIVES meeting held re defibrillator/resuscitation was well attended. Council has made a £50 donation to LIVES. Cllrs Cox and Morton are in the process of compiling a risk assessment for insurance purposes which will be completed soon.
6. Clerk’s report on matters outstanding:- Nothing to report.
7. Planning matters:- None.
Cllr Cox’s report circulated to council prior to meeting. It was agreed that this be uploaded to website and clerk to seek permission from Scampton for Home Office letter and reply to also be posted.
8. Correspondence:- Circulated.
9. Financial matters:- Council resolved to pay: H. Pitman £292.95; Glendale £334.42..
10. Reports from outside bodies:- No one in attendance.
11. Items of information to be noted and if necessary to be dealt with at the next meeting:-
Clerk to produce a poster of dates of future meetings for notice board; request quotes for tree work on Owmby Road; request street sweeper again and that LRSP conduct a traffic speed survey in the village. Cllr Cox to request a copy of the Good Employers guide from LALC. To be paid for by council.
There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.05pm.
