SPRIDLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on 11/11/2024 at the Village Hall
Present:- Cllr M. Marris (Chairman), Cllr K.Morton, Cllr D Cox.
In attendance: Helen Pitman (Clerk)
Visitors: None
1. Apologies for absence and reasons given:- Cllr R. Cowling
2. Co-option of councillor: No persons identified for co-option. Vacancies remain.
3. To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Localism Act:- None.
4. Notes of meeting held on 10th September to be approved as minutes:-
The minutes were signed as a true record.
5. Chair and councils comments:- Concern re state of road from Spridlington to Welton reported to highways.
6. Clerk’s report on matters outstanding:- Nothing to report.
7. Planning matters:- None.
8. Correspondence:- Circulated.
9. Financial matters:- Council resolved to pay: H. Pitman £380.90; Glendale £361.18. CIL report signed off. Clerk to forward new pay scales to councillors and Payments/Receipts sheet prior to meetings.
10. To discuss & resolve on new planters for village:- Chairman has spoken with resident re old planters. He has now gifted them to the parish council. Council agreed to plant up for summer in May next year. Money for compost and plants to come out of CIL monies.
11. To discuss additional roadsweeping in village:- Following response from West Lindsey this has now been shelved.
12. To discuss budget & resolve on precept for 2025:- Budget adjusted to include grants of £150; planters and defib maintenance to come out of CIL monies. Resolved to increase precept by £100 to £4.1K, in line with inflation.
13. To discuss damaged verges on Spridlington/Welton road caused by vehicles from AD plant:- Reported to LCC. Council agreed to invite owner of the AD plant, contractor, local landowner and PC Toyn to the May meeting to discuss concerns prior to next year’s harvest. Agenda March
14. Reports from outside bodies:- Police report circulated. No other reports received.
15. Items of information to be noted and if necessary to be dealt with at the next meeting:-
Cllr Morton to attend emergency planning exercise at Faldingworth. Clerk to report blocked footpath between Cliff Road and Owmby Road.
