SPRIDLINGTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting of the Parish Council held on 11/3/2025 at the Village Hall
 
Present:- Cllr M. Marris (Chairman), Cllr K.Morton, Cllr D Cox. 
In attendance: Helen Pitman (Clerk) 
Visitors: None
 
1. Apologies for absence and reasons given:-  Cllr R. Cowling. Accepted.
2. Co-option of councillor: No persons identified for co-option. Vacancies remain.
 
3.   To receive declarations of interest in accordance with the 2011 Localism Act:-  None.
 
4.   Notes of meeting held on 14th January 2025 to be approved as minutes:-
       The minutes were signed as a true record.  
 
5. Chair and councils comments:-  Cllr Morton advised that the footpath no longer has livestock and is open.
 
6. Clerk’s report on matters outstanding:-  Nothing to report.
 
7. Planning matters:- WL/2024/01031 Pond View- Refused. WL/2025/00103 Underoak, Church Hill – council has no objections/comments. Scampton meeting to be held on 20th March. Cllrs Cox and Morton to attend.
 
8. Correspondence:-  Circulated. West Lindsey Community Projects event: chair and vice chair to attend.
 
9. Financial matters:- Council resolved to pay: H. Pitman £340.10; Spridlington Village Hall £125. 
 
10. Update on damaged verges on Spridlington/Welton road:- LCC have filled some of the potholes but a large expanse of road from Hackthorn crossroads towards Spridlington remains dangerous Clerk to report again. To be discussed at annual parish meeting. Invitations to be sent out. Date of meeting to be deferred to Wednesday, 7th May. Agenda 
 
11. To resolve on grass cutting tender 2025/26:- Resolved to accept quotation from Glendale and to renew LCC service agreement.
 
12. To further discuss speeding on Cliff Road:- Following a complaint from a parishioner, Cllr Morton spoke with LRSP re camera enforcement. However, the area does not meet policy requirements or criteria for such action. PC Toyn is aware and will carry out speed checks as and when time allows. Council agreed that a letter drop be undertaken to all households with a short questionnaire as to whether they would support extra expenditure by the parish council on a new speed reduction scheme in the village. 13. Reports from outside bodies:- Police report circulated. Cllr Morton informed council that the recent crime prevention meeting was successful and well attended.
 
14. Items of information to be noted and if necessary to be dealt with at the next meeting:- 
Agenda items: Emergency response plan; Spridlington/Welton road; speeding.
 
There being no other business the meeting closed at 7.55pm.
